If you are from anywhere in the North American continent you are going to love football, it just the way it works.  Hockey and football are just what it’s all about in the Great White North and when we say football we are talking about the sport that is played with a pig-skin and not the round checkered ball.  There is much confusion as to what is meant when you say football when you are in Europe or South of the border and when you say football in Winnipeg there is only one thing you mean.

Winnipeg is home to the Blue Bombers Canadian football team and if you are from the United States we have heard of NFL players going to play in the Canadian Football League (CFL) when they were unable to sign with NFL teams.  While Canada has better hockey teams and the United States has better football teams the competition and thrill of watching is still the same.  It is worth going to Winnipeg just to see the Blue Bombers in action.  In 2008 they were on top of their game and everyone was out to beat them.  2009 looks to be the same and people are even betting smart money the Blue Bombers take the GreyCup this next season.

For some reason the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have been great at covering the spread and this is why people are betting money on them and winning.  This seems like a trivial reason to go to the capital of Manitoba but this great city caters to the needs of anyone who is willing to come and visit it. The atmosphere that surrounds the Winnipeg Blue Bombers is like being at an NFL game and it will be an experience you won’t soon forget.
